Gospel

It’s been a while but I am back…I tried to approach this blogging thing from a politically correct stand point hoping it would make it more acceptable to everyone, believers of my faith in God and those that don’t, but keeping it real it is he that is greater in me than of this world…I am extremely knowledgeable about the cycle but honestly have been unable to break the cycle. However don’t feel sorry for my struggle because it’s my process, you see I am anointed to break the cycle and help the world but I’m not appointed to do so yet because of my choices, my past, my circumstances and my battle within myself,,,,Nevertheless at 37 I am a grown woman with little girl issues and I see clearly that I may not be ready to lead,,,I am ready to let go and let God help me lead…Godbless

Boy’s to Men…

I was thinking about the organizations out there that serve to cultivate our young men. I’m sure there are many however, how many start when it most counts? I believe it should start at infancy. Our kids do what they see so its important to show them the right way from the begining. Nurturing our babies to be Men (Nurturing Men), is an idea that will help cultivate Men from infancy to adulthood, who have self control over their emotions, and love for themselves and others. Let’s populate colleges not jails. Just a thought.

Cultured Domestic Violence

Domestic Violence (DV) affects different Cultures, Genders, and Classes which makes it look differently for each individual. When its a Generational scenario (meaning one’s parents, grandparents or extended family members have been exposed)it becomes hard to pin-point the harmful signs because it is normal and the way you were raised. No surprise their are Cultures which practice what America would consider DV attributes or ways.

So how does one recognize it and prevent it from continuing through generations? How does a person who’s Culture an upbringing in addition, to being a victim themselves, recognize and maybe change their way of life? An how is society’s human health services an agencies put in place to aid DV victims helping those who are Cultured in Domestic Violence?

Breaking my cycle…

I am a firm believer in “practicing what you preach” and in order to bring forth solutions to helping other families and Society as a whole… I need to start at home, first with the bad/harmful patterns I’ve seen perpetuated throughout my own Family History.  Absentee parents,  and  Drug and Alcohol abuse are 2 core  issues, I know were present in both my mother and father as well as my own family.
